Follow the checklist below to complete your onboarding process. Each step is crucial to your success as a sales photographer. Send the required confirmations (screenshots or messages) in your work chat for each of the steps.
To keep Deluxe Photo Atlanta running smoothly, we need quick and reliable communication in your work WhatsApp chat.
⏱️ We expect you to reply within 1 day whenever we ask a question, offer you a shift, or send an important update.
🤝 If you need more time to respond to a request, please just let us know so we understand what to expect from you.
😶 If you don’t respond in the work chat for several days, we may assume you’re no longer interested in working with Deluxe Photo and may no longer consider you an active team member.
🔔 Turn ON WhatsApp Notifications
To avoid missing important messages and shift offers:
Make sure notifications for your work WhatsApp chat are turned ON in your phone settings and inside WhatsApp.
On many iPhones, WhatsApp notifications can be off by default, so please double-check that you see our messages right away. 📱If you use an iPhone and don’t see WhatsApp notifications, please watch this short video and follow the steps: “WhatsApp Notifications Not Showing on iPhone”.
⏳ Onboarding Deadline
We expect you to complete all onboarding steps within 3 days after we send you all the information. It usually takes no more than 1–2 hours in total. If for any reason you can’t complete onboarding within 3 days, please let us know a specific date by when we can expect you to finish the whole process. 🙌 Staying silent for days is not the best communication strategy and may affect whether we continue with your hiring process. 💬

We expect team members to be available by default for:
Friday evenings;
Saturdays;
Sundays;
Holidays.
We understand that exceptions happen (family events, exams, travel, etc.). To keep scheduling fair and organized, you must use Sling Unavailability to clearly indicate when you cannot work. Unavailability for the following week must be entered in Sling no later than Wednesday of the previous week. Review how to inform company about your Unavailability in Sling

How scheduling + confirmations work 📅:
By Wednesday, you enter your Unavailability for next week in Sling.
On Thursday, we build the schedule based on your Unavailability and publish it in Sling.
After it’s published, we send a message in your team chat asking you to review your suggested shifts and confirm or reject them.
If you cannot work any scheduled shift next week, you must reject it right away so we can assign another photographer.
Once a shift is confirmed, we expect you to work it.
Cancellation policy (after confirming) 🚫: if you need to cancel a shift after confirming, you must do one of the following:
Find another photographer to cover your shift (Regional Manager can help you to get connected to Atlanta photographers who usually work in the same area), or
Provide a document confirming a real emergency that prevents you from working (example: a doctor’s note etc).
If anything changes, communicate immediately. Last-minute cancellations with reasons like “family emergency,” “car emergency,” or “something came up” etc will not be accepted and will result in lowest scheduling priority for future shifts or removal from scheduling.

I understand that unavailability for the following week must be entered or updated in Sling no later than Wednesday of the previous week. I also understand that once I confirm a shift in Sling, I am expected to work it and last-minute cancellations will not be accepted.”

Review Compensation Structure (how much you can earn as a Sales Photographer)
These agreements appear each time you clock in. Misunderstanding or not following them can lead to unexpected fees.
Always count your frames before selling and make sure to take back all unsold frames. Most lost frames happen when photographers forget to collect them from guests—so double-check every time! Any lost frames without a matching card or cash transaction at the end of the shift will result in ‼️a fee of $11 per lost frame ‼️, as stated in the Financial Responsibility Agreement.
📝 Send a message saying “I have read and understood the Financial Agreement. I understand there is a fee of 70% of the minimum frame price ($11) for each lost or missing frame. To avoid lost frames at the end of the shift, I should count frames before and after selling and make sure I take all unsold frames back.”
These poses are essential for better sales and commissions. Feel free to add your own, but the listed ones are mandatory.

You’ll receive an email invite for payroll via ADP within a few days.
⚠️ Complete the ADP setup on a laptop or computer, not through the mobile app.
After you upload your ID, your status will show “Pending for approval”—this is normal. It will remain pending until the first payday (Friday every other week). On the nearest payday, our accountant will approve your ID and send payment for your hours worked to the bank account you entered in ADP.

To confirm that you understand all our policies and rules and are fully ready to succeed as a Sales Photographer working your own shifts, we will ask you to schedule a 20 minute exam video call via MS Teams.
During this call, we’ll go over everything together in this format: we will ask you questions based on the onboarding materials you’ve learned, and we expect you to know the answers or know where to find them. Feel free to use our onboarding website during the call to look up answers if needed. We’ll also be happy to answer any questions you might have 😊

Simply click the link, choose “Continue as guest,” enter your name and email, and select a convenient day and time. You’ll receive an email with your meeting link and can join at the scheduled time. Please schedule your call soon — this step ensures you’re 100% prepared for independent shifts and confident in every part of your work! 💪📸
Once all steps are completed, you’ll be invited to a 4-hour practice shift. You’ll work alongside an experienced photographer, but you’re expected to handle everything yourself: ✅ Approaching guests, ✅ Taking photos, ✅ Printing, ✅ Making sales
📌 This is your final step before starting independent shifts. Practice shift hours will be paid together with your first paycheck once you start working your own shifts (around 2 weeks after a first shift - our payday is Friday): $12/hour (no commission earned on practice shift).
